The Foreign Ministers' meeting will focus on Russia's aggression against Ukraine, NATO's support for Ukraine, China's challenges, and the strengthening of allies' resilience. A session with the participation of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and the EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell will be held in Bucharest to discuss Ukraine's needs as it defends itself against Russia, as well as the long-term allied support for the country. A session with the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, and Georgia representatives will focus on helping the countries under Russian pressure.
For the first time, a meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs will be attended by Finland and Sweden as the countries that are invited to join the Alliance.
On the margins of the event, Landsbergis will meet with NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Christopher Gerard Cavoli, Moldova's Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Nicu Popescu, and the Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský. A meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania with James Cleverly, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, is also planned.
