The Lithuanian President pointed out that Armenia had made notable progress in implementing democratic reforms. According to the President, the Armenian Government’s efforts to reform the justice sector and to hold free and fair elections are commendable and show its determination to maintain the country’s democratic path. The President underscored that Lithuania supported closer EU-Armenia cooperation and viewed Armenia as a key player in the Eastern Partnership policy. The President stressed that all this is certainly impossible without peace in the country.
