During his meeting with Armenian Ambassador Hovhannes Igityan, the President underlined that Lithuania consistently supported Armenia's sovereignty and democratic reforms. Gitanas Nausėda said that Lithuania would continue to advocate for a stronger EU engagement in supporting Armenia’s democratic achievements and reform efforts. The President and the Ambassador discussed the further development of bilateral political, economic and cultural contacts between Lithuania and Armenia. The meeting focused on Armenia’s security situation, relations with neighboring countries and the war in Ukraine.
Speaking to Javier Alcides Bonagas de Gracia, Panama’s ambassador accredited to Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda pointed out that Lithuania and Panama shared respect for democratic values and human rights and worked together effectively in international organizations. The President and the Ambassador also discussed the development of bilateral relations and their expansion, with special emphasis on economic cooperation and trade.
The meeting with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka accredited to Lithuania, Dharshan Mahendru Perera, focused on bilateral relations, prospects for promoting economic and cultural cooperation, and collaborative work in international organizations.
