"I hope that you enjoyed these 4 years spent in Vilnius. It was a particularly dynamic and eventful time for Lithuania, including the presidency of the European Union, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and the non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC)," said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for the active support and co-operation in helping Lithuania to take over the steering wheel of the EU's Council, as well as for the contribution in the development of good economic relations: in 2013, the bilateral trade went up by 15.6 per cent, accounting for 26.76 million Euros. The Head of Government stressed the importance of Ireland as Lithuania's partner and emphasized the need to continue the development of economic cooperation.
