The inaugural ceremony will start with a solemn parliamentary sitting in the historic March 11 Hall at 11:00 hours. Dalia Grybauskaitė will take the presidential oath and deliver her inaugural address.
After the oath-taking ceremony at the Seimas, the President will attend the Holy Mass at Vilnius Cathedral.
Following the Holy Mass, the President will be saluted by the flags of Lithuanian cities and towns in Cathedral Square. Later, she will join a festive procession to Simono Daukanto Square.
President Dalia Grybauskaitė, performing her constitutional duty, will meet with Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius who will return the powers of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
The inauguration ceremony will culminate with an open-air gala concert at Simono Daukanto Square. All Lithuanian people are invited to this concert. Performing will be Andrius Mamontovas, group Biplan, Jurgis and Erika Didžiulis, Gytis Paškevičius, Ieva Narkutė, Vaidas Baumila, Girmantė Vaitkutė, Virgilijus Noreika, Jokūbas Bareikis, Liudas Mikalauskas, Vilija Matačiūnaitė, Edmundas Seilius and Kristina Zmailaitė, Jeronimas Milius, the Vilnius Sinfonietta Orchestra, and the United Lithuanian Choral Ensemble.
All inauguration events will be broadcast live by the Lithuanian National Television.
