The Lithuanian President expressed solidarity with Poland and pointed out that Lithuania was ready to provide assistance to Poland in dealing with the current influx of illegal migrants from Belarus.
“The scale of the hybrid attack by the Belarusian regime is unprecedented. We must remain united and in solidarity. Lithuania is ready to cooperate with Poland and to contribute in every possible way to tackling this crisis,” Gitanas Nausėda said.
The Lithuanian and Polish leaders agreed to stay in touch by regularly exchanging information on the situation at the border with Belarus and by coordinating actions.
