The Prime Minister has noted that the Government is set to move forward towards a higher value-added economy and at the same time to deliver on its ambitious goals as regards green deal commitments, digitalisation, education and science, science-busines synergies, and international cooperation in innovation.
‘With its new composition involving greater representation from life sciences, start-ups, lasers and IT industries, the Economic Diplomacy Council well reflects the above-mentioned ambitions. It is a fact, that IT, life sciences and financial technologies are true ambassadors of our country. There are many opportunities to further strengthen these industries, and that is exactly what we must do’, said the Prime Minister.
Founded back in 2013, the Economic Diplomacy Council submits proposals to the Government in the field of economic diplomacy regarding the strategic and priority guidelines for Lithuania's foreign economic policy and regarding improved marketing of Lithuania's economic interests abroad.
