The festive programme will begin with the speeches of the Presidents of Lithuania and Poland at a joint Lithuanian-Polish parliamentary sitting. After the parliamentary sitting, the Presidents will attend the Holy Mass at St. John’s Archcathedral in Warsaw.
The official part of the ceremony will be held in Royal Square. It will be also attended by the Presidents of the Baltic States and Ukraine.
After the ceremony, the Presidents have been invited to participate in a public debate on the future of Europe in the Hall of Senators at the Royal Palace.
On the eve of the celebrations, the Presidents of Lithuania and Poland are expected to hold a bilateral meeting.
A separate cultural programme is planned for the First Ladies on May 3.
The Constitution of May 3 is considered Europe’s first constitution. It was adopted by the Four-Year Sejm of the Commonwealth of Two Nations on 3 May 1791.
