The Prime Minister of Lithuania has emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership with Poland and the continuity of close relations. ‘I would like to deepen the strategic partnership between Lithuania and Poland in all areas in the coming years. Therefore, I will encourage the ministers to maintain active cooperation with their colleagues in Poland,’ the Prime Minister said.
The Lithuanian Prime Minister has thanked Poland for its support in implementing the European Council conclusions on the need to prevent the import of electricity from the unsafe nuclear power plant in Astravyets. It has been agreed that the energy ministers will discuss possibilities of accelerating the implementation of the Baltic electricity grids synchronization project.
