Covid-19: Govt's bid to regulate prices stalls in Lithuanian parlt

The Seimas of Lithuania on Tuesday did not allow yet the government to regulate prices of goods and restrict access to goods or services during quarantine time. An insufficient number of lawmakers voted twice for the proposed amendments to the existing law for them to be adopted. At least 71 votes were needed and one time 70 MPs registered to vote, and there were 66 the second one. Deputy Speaker of the Seimas Rima Baskiene said the Seimas would vote on price regulation once again during the next sitting.
