First Deputy Chancellor of the Government Deividas Matulionis has met with Dimitrios Xenitelli, the new Greek Ambassador to Lithuania, who has just embarked on his mission in the country, to discuss further actions towards closer bilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation between the European Union and NATO. First Deputy Chancellor Matulionis has thanked the Ambassador for Greece’s support to Lithuania and the region on the issues of security and defence, and he presented the latest information on the unsafe Astravyets nuclear power plant in Belarus asking for Greek support for Lithuania’s position.
