“Lithuania highly appreciates good bilateral relations with Austria across many areas and at different levels, as Lithuania and Austria are determined to boost the economy, strengthen security and well-being of their citizens. We do also look forward to continuing close co-operation with our like-minded partners in the European Union on issues such as the future of Europe, security, Neighborhood policy, nuclear security, and other international matters,” wrote the Foreign Minister L. Linkevičius in his congratulations letter.
L. Linkevičius also invited his Austrian counterpart A. Schallenberg to visit Lithuania.
