The meetings of the Presidents are aimed at discussing initiatives, positions and challenges to strengthen strategic cooperation between Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The agenda foresees a strong focus on regional cooperation, with a common aim of strengthening integration with the European Union, through synchronization of the Baltic power system with continental Europe and Rail Baltica projects.
The summit will address security challenges and the conclusions of the NATO Summit in London. The future of Europe, the EU’s multiannual financial perspective, Brexit, the Eastern Partnership, relations with the third countries and multilateral formats of regional cooperation will also be discussed.
During the meeting, the Presidents of the Baltic States will visit the Christmas market in the center of Riga and a temporary radio studio located there. The Presidents will select a Christmas song from each country to be broadcast as a contribution to the charity campaign.
