It was emphasized at the meeting that Lithuania highly appreciates the US as a reliable strategic partner and is always open for investment. The two countries are linked by solid trade ties and close cooperation in both traditional and innovative sectors of economy.
Investments from the United States of America reached almost EUR 263 million in the first quarter of 2019. In 2010-2018, the US investors implemented 73 projects and created more than 8000 jobs.
The main investments are in IT systems development and testing, sales and marketing services development, production and other areas.
The ALBC delegation included eleven US companies operating in Lithuania and representing the US defence, financial services, cybersecurity, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, tobacco and human resources management sectors.
During the visit of the ALBC delegation, the Lithuanian-US Technology Forum and the Lithuanian-US Innovation Awards are held in cooperation with the Lithuanian Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology and the US Embassy in Lithuania, and the Lithuanian-US Defence Technology Forum is held together with non-profit agency Enterprise Lithuania.
