In Piłsudski Square, state leaders will sign the guest book and jointly lay a wreath. A symbolic bell will ring for those who perished in the war.
In Warsaw, President Gitanas Nausėda will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine and Prime Minister Xavier Bettel of Luxembourg.
The bilateral meeting with the President of Ukraine will focus on the post-election situation and Ukraine’s agenda of Euro-integration. Relevant issues on the EU agenda, economic and security matters, including cooperation in areas of financial services and renewable energy, will be addressed at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Luxembourg.
The commemoration programme includes an official dinner at the Royal Castle hosted by the President of Poland and a concert to mark the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II at the Warsaw Grand Theater.
This will be President’s second visit to Poland. The first meeting with President Andrzej Duda took place on July 16 during President Gitanas Nausėda’s first official foreign trip after he assumed office.
