The ministers agreed to actively cooperate and to exchange the best practice not only in the sphere of the gender equality but also in the spheres of the social services and youth occupation.
"The gender equality remains one of Lithuania's priorities. First of all, we are striving to reduce the gap between the wages of men and women which accounts for 12% in Lithuania and is smaller than EU average. Nevertheless, this gap is one of the handicaps for the security of economic impendence of men and women," said Pabedinskiene.
