According to the Member of the Seimas, such actions are violating private properties which must be protected by the State as provided in the Constitution and other legal acts of our country. Notification of the offense has already been submitted to the police of Šalčininkai district.
'I want to point this fact to the attention of the Lithuanian Seimas, as the basic legislative body in our country, as well as to the attention of politicians and public opinion; I want to underline the consequences of the resounded in the media incitement to discord in relation to national minorities, uttered by politicians, social activists and organizations,' - said L. Talmont.
Member of the Seimas turned to the President of the country, to the Prime Minister, to the Prosecutor General's Office, to the Police management urging to prevent similar attacks which violate private properties of citizens of Lithuania.
'Such attacks are also directed against national minorities and incite discord on national background, attempts to intimidate national minorities arise and this is particularly unacceptable in the European Union. National minorities in Lithuania expect urgent actions to be taken by law enforcement agencies in order to ensure safety and security of national minorities' private properties,' - said L. Talmont on Thursday.
