The Heads of the Offices of the Government of Lithuania and Poland welcomed the good cross-border relations and excellent cooperation between the two governments.
‘Our cooperation at the governmental level is moving forward smoothly while particularly focusing on the Lithuanian-Polish interests in education, culture, and historical heritage’, said Algirdas Stončaitis.
The parties welcomed the decisions on education, the close cultural cooperation, and the progress in the joint infrastructure projects of regional importance.
Algirdas Stončaitis reiterated the need to strengthen the transmission of the LRT channel signal to the Suwalki region in the Polish territory, and the Government’s plans to establish a Lithuanian Education and Culture Centre in Suwalki.
The parties also discussed the arrangements for the upcoming visit of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to Lithuania on April 5.
