In a meeting on Monday, Parliament’s civil liberties committee votes on two proposals aimed at strengthening the fight against terrorism and organised crime. The first proposal would tighten the rules on obtaining ID cards and curb the use of fraudulent documents, while the second would facilitate the use of financial information for the prevention or investigation of serious criminal offences.
The civil liberties committee also votes on an update of EU rules on short-stay visas as well as on a proposal for a new EU humanitarian visa system.
