‘We are delighted that the bilateral relations between Lithuania and Japan have been developing and that cooperation may become more active in various fields. The aim of our visit is to add impetus to implementation of the potential joint projects in transport, energy, innovations, technology and other sectors’, said Government Chancellor Stončaitis.
In the meeting Chancellor Stončaitis has presented an integrated transport and logistics centre system of Lithuania and overviewed Klaipėda Sea Port opportunities and its plans for development. The Chancellor has expressed the aim and interest of the Lithuanian Government to maintain and intensify relations with the Japanese energy companies.
The Chancellor has also underlined that the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Science and Technology, which had been signed during the visit, will make the bilateral cooperation more active.
