During the short informal meeting, the issues related to the bilateral cooperation in the spheres of economy and transportation and the opportunities for the implementation of the nerd projects were discussed.
"The atmosphere of the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan was friendly and warm. This was the fourth our meeting. Lithuania is interest in the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation, the implementation of the new projects in the spheres of the cargo transit, loading and trade and the development of the new projects in the sphere of the energy. The President of Azerbaijan ascertained that his country was interested in the cooperation. As a result, we believe that such disposition will bear fruit," said Butkevicius.
On Friday, Butkevicius should meet with Russia's Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. During the short conversation, the issues related to the bilateral cooperation in the sphere of economy and the Lithuania-Russia economy forum which will be taking place in April will be discussed.
