Summit conclusions
On Tuesday 3 July, MEPs will assess the results of the EU summit on 28-29 June. The discussion with Council President Donald Tusk and Commission President Jean-Claude Junker will focus on migration, Brexit, common defence and the EU budget.

On Monday 2 July, the legal affairs committee will announce its decision to start negotiations with member states on the copyright directive. If more than 10% of MEPs (76) object to the decision by the end of Tuesday, a vote to either confirm or reject the committee’s decision will take place on Thursday.
Future of Europe
MEPs will debate the future of Europe with Polish Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki and Commission President Juncker on Wednesday at 9.00 CET. After the debate, Parliament President Antonio Tajani, and Morawiecki will hold a press conference at about 12.45.
External border security
On Wednesday 4 July, MEPs will debate the new European Travel Information and Authorisation System. Under the new rules to be voted on Thursday, non-EU nationals exempt from visa requirements will have to get authorisation before travelling to the EU, while irregular migrants and travellers posing a security or high epidemic risk would be denied access.
Common defence
On Monday 2 July, MEPs will debate the first EU programme dedicated to boosting innovation in the European defence industry. The programme will be voted on Tuesday.
Posting of drivers
MEPs will discuss the Parliament´s position regarding the negotiations with member states on new rules to tackle illegal practices in road transport and the posting of drivers. The debate will take place on Tuesday 3 July and the vote is schedule for the next day.
EU presidency
The Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borissov, will discuss his country´s presidency of the Council of the EU with Parliament´s political group leaders on Tuesday. Starting at 10.00 CET, the Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will debate the priorities of his country´s incoming presidency with MEPs and Commission President Juncker, followed by a press conference with Tajani at noon.
