"Twenty two years ago, Lithuania and Spain renewed diplomatic relations. I am very delighted to see the achievements of our two countries during this period in strengthening cooperation, based on mutual confidence and shared values, and contributing to the welfare of all European citizens," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
Cooperation of the two countries is particularly important today as Lithuania holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the President underlined. According to her, by addressing in a uniform way the challenges and working together the member states will build a prosperous and secure future for all Europeans.
Dalia Grybauskaitė wished every success and continued health to the Spanish King and the well-being and prosperity to the people of Spain.
