The President underlined that this year was exceptional for Croatia and its people because the country had joined the European Union team.
"I am delighted that Croatia became the 28th EU member state just as Lithuania took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It is a new stage for your country and Europe, and I firmly believe that Croatia and Lithuania, united by common values and interests, will continue to work together effectively towards an open, credible and competitive European Union that ensures security and welfare to its people," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
Dalia Grybauskaitė wished the President of Croatia continued health and success as well as well-being and prosperity to Croatia and its people.
