The outcome of the discussion (from 18.30 to 21.00) will be included in the Commission's 2014 Work Programme, which Parliament is to put to a plenary vote on 22 October in Strasbourg. The follow-up to legislative initiative resolutions and possible ways to improve cooperation in the legislative field could also be discussed. This is the fourth annual meeting of its kind.
Political group leaders to meet President Barroso on Thursday
Commission President José Manuel Barroso will take in tomorrow's meeting of European Parliament political group leaders, the Conference of Presidents, to pursue the discussion on end-of-term legislative planning.
This meeting will be followed by a doorstep with European Parliament President Martin Schulz (6th floor - PHS building), at around 13.00.
