In her video message, the President underlined that that March 28 was a special day. “From now on our nations will be even closer,” she said. It is a major European integration achievement through Georgia’s consistent efforts.
According to the President, Georgia’s commitment to freedom and democracy serves as an example for the whole region. Lithuania is a true partner of Georgia who has always strongly supported and will continue to support it.
Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili will be making one of the first symbolic visa free trips when he arrives to Lithuania for an official visit on Thursday, March 30.
The two presidents will discuss bilateral relations as well as Georgia’s progress on the path of European integration and reforms. Special focus will be placed on the security situation, measures to counter the Russian threat, and cooperation with NATO.
