The meeting focused on Lithuania-Malaysia cooperation in the United Nations. The President underscored the importance of Malaysia's support to our country's bid for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council.
According to the President, it is also necessary to promote the bilateral cooperation of the two countries in business, student exchange and tourism spheres.
Diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Malaysia were established in 1994.
The Ambassador (58) started his diplomatic career in 1983. In the period 2009-2012 he was High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh, in 2012 served as Malaysia's ambassador to the Republic of Poland.
