The presidents of the governing parties chair the meetings consecutively, their duty is to form the agenda of the board meeting. The president of AWPL Waldemar Tomaszewski chaired today's meeting.
During the meeting the members of the board discussed about the centralized management of state property, supervisory boards of state-owned companies and vacancies in the ministries.
The president of the AWPL party Waldemar Tomaszewski has included in the agenda several topics that are covered in the political program of the party and are also very important for the each citizen. Increase by half from 20% to 30% total pool of funds for financing local roads. Following issue that was presented at the today's meeting, was crucial from the point of the national minorities, the members discussed about project of the act on national minorities and also debated about the problems of financing education
Generally speaking, the members have reached a consensus in every matter. They have agreed that from the begging of New Year the funding for local roads will increase up to 25% and in 2015 up to 30%. Also they had agreed on establishing the executive board for new company that will manage all the state-owned assets. They have also agreed on improving the process of financing education. Lastly, the members have agreed that they will approve the project of the national minorities bill at their next meeting.
Permanent members of the governing body from the AWPL party are: party leader Waldemar Tomaszewski, President of the AWPL faction in parliament Rita Tamašunienė, Vice-President of the AWPL faction in parliament Wanda Krawczonok. Due to raised questions at the today's meeting Minister of Communications Rimantas Sinkevičius, Vice-Speaker Jaroslaw Narkiewicz and Vice-Minister of Culture Edward Trusewicz were invited to attend the meeting.
Next meeting of the council of ruling coalition will take place next Monday. The Prime Minister of the Lithuania, Algiras Butkevicius will chair the following gathering.
