“We can be proud of the active contribution and work of the Lithuanian experts in the committees of the UN system. The fact that our national experts are elected for leadership positions in the committees or re-elected for the second term demonstrates their professionalism and international recognition,” said Linkevičius.
“Thanks to you, Lithuania gains better visibility in the important international human rights institutions, which once again underlines our country's contribution to the consolidation of human rights on a global scale,” emphasised the head of diplomacy.
“We must continue working together, seeking that even more Lithuanian specialists could apply their skills and experience in the activities of international organisations,” said Linkevičius.
The Minister noted that the international experience of the Lithuanian experts enhanced the profile and visibility of the Lithuanian universities.
“Your contribution and assistance will be crucial when Lithuania stands for election to the Human Rights Council for the term 2022-2024,” said the Minister.
