On Tuesday the international trade committee votes on Ceta, the free trade agreement between the EU and Canada. The deal must be approved by Parliament before it can enter into force.
Less than half of EU municipal waste is currently recycled or composted and almost a third is still landfilled. More ambitious EU targets which aim to boost the recycling of waste and reduce landfill use are to be put to a vote in the environment committee on Tuesday.
