The informal meeting will be chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius. A delegation of the members of the European Parliament will also attend the meeting.
The General Affairs Council is responsible for handling issues with an impact on multiple policies of the European Union, such as enlargement of the EU, the Multiannual Financial Framework, institutional and administrative issues. Exact topics of its meetings are decided taking into account European agenda and the priorities of the Presidency.
