The newly appointed Vice-minister Neris Germanas who has the ranking of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary held the office of Vice-minister during 2012-2016, was the Ambassador at Large of the European Affairs Department and served as the Director of the said department, he also was Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the Council of Europe and Ambassador to Finland. Mr Germanas will start as Vice-minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as of 20 December, 2016.
Albinas Zananavičius who has the ranking of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania was Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the EU as of 2014, worked at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Nations and other international organisations in Geneva as well as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the World Trade Organisation. Mr Zananavičius will start at the Ministry on 16 January 2017.
Darius Skusevičius has the diplomatic ranking of the First Secretary. Mr Skusevičius held the office Minister Counsellor of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Lithuania to the EU since 2015, has also worked as an adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he is a member of the Organisation Committee of the World Lithuania Youth Association. He will start his term in the Ministry as of 11 January 2017.
