Linkevičius welcomed Tunisia’s successful experience of transition to democracy and the determination of its leaders and citizens to build a pluralistic, democratic and modern state. The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Tunisia‘s National Dialogue Quartet for these efforts.
Linkevičius presented opportunities for cooperation in the fields of business, tourism and education. The Tunisian Foreign Minister presented the International Investment Congress. The event will take place in Tunisia on 29-30 November 2016 and help mobilize support for the consolidation of a model of sustainable economic and social development in Tunisia.
The two Foreign Ministers agreed to take advantage of the mechanism of bilateral consultations more intensively and to use honorary consulates to strengthen the representation of both countries.
