The inquiry committee investigating the car emissions testing scandal holds a hearing on Monday during which members are due to question Janez Potočnik, who was environment commissioner from 2010 to 2014 and Parliament Vice President Antonio Tajani, who was the commissioner responsible for industry and entrepreneurship during the same period.
The future of EU financing
MEPs and their national counterparts discuss how to finance the EU in the future at the Parliament in Brussels from Wednesday to Thursday. Participants include Parliament President Martin Schulz, Commission President Juncker as well as Mario Monti, the chair of an expert group investigating new sources of revenue for the EU.

The civil liberties committee examines on Thursday a proposal for creating a common European resettlement policy for refugees.Committee members also discuss International Rescue Committee operations with its president David Milliband. The former UK foreign minister is also due to meet Schulz on the same day.
