The delegation, which included Minister of Energy Krzysztof Tchórzewski and Jan Dziedziczak, Secretary of State for Polish Community Abroad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, came to Vilnius to inaugurate the power connection LitPol Link and Nordbalt.
The visit begun with a meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Secretary of State with Valdemar Tomaševski, the leader of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania and Member of the European Parliament.
After the closed meeting Valdemar Tomaševski said that relations between Poland and Lithuania, Polish minority situation in Lithuania, Polish-Lithuanian Treaty of 1994 and also economic affairs were discussed.
It was agreed that articles of the treaty regarding education are not implemented, particularly in Vilnius.
'We have received several compliments from the Deputy Prime Minister Morawiecki regarding our strong attitude, activities and successes that the Association of Poles in Lithuania as well as the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania achieved. He also has expressed his gratitude for our promotion of Polish culture,' said V. Tomaševski.
