On 11th October the Group G world- cup qualifying match between Latvia and Lithuania took place. During the match, Latvians were seen to have a flag with numbers that are well known to neo-Nazi community.

Along with the phrase 'Sarauj, Latvija' and the initials BU ('Barons Ultras'), the numbers 14 and 88 were visible on the flag. The code 14/88 signifies a secret neo-Nazi (and right-wing radical also) greeting.
Number '14' is associated with the US white nationalist ideologist David Lane's phrase, while '88' is known to be a code for the 'Heil Hitler' greeting. It is written by David Lane in his essay '14/88'.
We still do not know if the Latvian Football Federation will be sanctioned for their flag, as the federation said they have no information regarding the Nazi flags during the match.
It has to be mentioned, that both FIFA and UEFA have been working towards the eliminations of all the possible expressions of racism and extremism football matches.
