From the very beginning of the match Montenegro demonstrated a strong game and fought till the very end. Montenegro was leading after the half time (32:34). Lithuanians managed to get in the lead only in the third quarter, while in the beginning of the fourth quarter they were leading by eight points already (57:49). However, Montenegrins, at the same time, resorted to a more consistent defence, caught up with the Lithuanian team and their last three-point shot sent the game to overtime.
Even though, Mantas Kalnietis, Renaldas Seibutis and Jonas Valančiūnas made it possible for the team to win, Lithuanian team was led by Lavrinovič twins this time. And it was Darjuš Lavrinovič who shot the decisive three-pointer in the last minute of the match, thus securing Lithuania's dramatic victory.
