The award was presented by Mr Emilio Fernández-Castaño, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Lithuania.

And I am happy not for myself, but for the fact that the efforts to facilitate cultural ties between our two beloved countries – Spain and Lithuania, were evaluated so highly. I was deeply exited by His Excellency Ambassador's phrase that my merit is not only that I contribute to the dissemination of Spanish culture in Lithuania. The fact that my translation will open the minds of Spaniards to the Lithuanian culture is of major significance too. It is satisfying indeed to know, that the Spanish Embassy appreciates the importance of culture,"- said Doc. C. Caro Dugo.
