Campus WU – a city inside the city
On Campus WU 25,000 students and 1,500 faculty members, researchers and administrative staff find ideal conditions for learning, teachings, researching and working. Located near the city center and adjacent to one of Vienna's largest parks, the new campus is an integral part of the district and combines urban life with the work at the university.
6 Buildings - 6 Architects. The campus consists of six individual building complexes, designed by six international renowned architects. The campus offers not only teaching facilities and officies, but also restaurants, cafés, shops and even a kindergarten, all in a stimulating architectural environment.
The property area is 90,000 m2, 560 meters long and between 150 and 210 meters wide. The entire campus is ringed with a total of 231 ginkgo trees and extensive shrubbery, forming a green border and a natural filter between the campus and the surrounding urban environment and traffic. The campus is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through one of the three main entrances and many entry passageways.
Building WU Executive Academy (EA). The outer facade is made of glass and aluminum. Different degrees of transparency, from opaque to completely translucent. The upper levels offer spectacular views of Vienna's city center and the nearby Prater Park.

Departments (D4). The geometric façade features a playful arrangement of parallelograms with dynamically placed windows. In the building D4 you'll find research institutes, departments, a café and the library for social sciences.

Departments & Administration (D3, AD). The building includes numerous passages, niches, terraces, atriums, and open spaces with benches. The building is as colorful on the inside as it is on the outside and includes departments, research institutes a library and the administration of the Vienna University of Business and Economics.

Teaching Center & Departments (TC/D1). The Teaching Center delineates the northeastern border of the campus. The façade of the Teaching Center is made of Corten weathering steel, which with time will form a protective, colored patina. The building contains various auditoriums, equipped with state of the art learning technologies and learning space for up to 5,000 students simultaneously as well as the Auditorium Maximum for 650 students and the WU Mensa.

Library & Learning Center (LC). The heart of the new university campus is the centrally located Library & Learning Center. Visitors enter the building in the generously proportioned atrium, which also serves as WU's main reception area. Inside LC there are the Student Services, IT Services, the International Office and the OMV Central Library.

Departments and Student Center (D2/SC). Building D2 to the south is made up of 2 elongated, slender sections with a facade consisting of thin, overlapping layers. It gives the impression of permeability and closeness. D2 houses Departments, research institutes, the Library for Business Languages, a supermarket, the Sports Center, a public kindergarten and more.

WU Executive Academy's new dean – Barbara Stöttinger
The new rector of WU Vienna, Prof. Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger, has appointed Assoc. Prof. Barbara Stöttinger as the WU Executive Academy's new dean. Prof. Stöttinger will take over from her predecessor, Prof. Bodo B. Schlegelmilch, on October 1, 2015. Under her deanship, WU Vienna's business school is to continue its successful track record. Moreover, the WU Executive Academy will further strengthen its position as both a leading player in the international MBA market and Austria's top executive-education provider.
The WU Executive Academy's new dean, Prof. Barbara Stöttinger (WU Vienna, Institute for International Marketing Management), is highly qualified and has not only a wealth of marketing knowledge with a sound academic underpinning but also years of experience in MBA and executive education.

Barbara Stöttinger holds a doctoral degree from WU Vienna. In 2003, she earned her post-doctoral lecturing qualification in international marketing. Before joining the Institute for International Marketing Management, Barbara Stöttinger worked in the marketing department of an international consumer goods manufacturer (consumer electronics) and as a consultant. As part of her research, she has spent considerable amounts of time in the USA and in Canada. Moreover, she has lectured on marketing and international marketing in Europe, Asia and North America for many years and has won several teaching awards. Since 2007, Barbara Stöttinger has been the academic director of the WU Executive Academy's Professional MBA Marketing & Sales.
