The stand of "Metanoja" opened the exhibition, standing just at the beginning of the Innovation Fair hall. "Metanoja" is a small company, founded by VGTU Doctor of Chemical Sciences, the Associate Professor Ingrida Bružaitė and student Martynas Juršys. The main activity of the company is to assist in solving pollution problems, from natural cellulosic materials extracting cellulose nano crystals, used for the production of an ecological and environmentally friendly material.
VGTU graduates Tomas Petrulevičius and Aurimas Gedminas had a separate stand, introducing the locking system "Rakink". The created system allows checking when and who locked or unlocked the door, using a web site or mobile phone remote applet.
There were two more VGTU innovations at the hall of Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA). One of them was a smart gesture-recognizing glove, created by Dariuš Laketčenko. The other innovation was the acoustic masonry building blocks, created in cooperation with a company of ceramic products. The blocks are convenient to use because of their size and weight and have excellent sound insulation properties.
The Innovation Fair is a part of Vilnius Innovation Forum 2015 events, attended by more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, inventors and representatives of international organisations.
