Communities of national minorities` schools in Vilnius do not give up BFL / Vygintas Skaraitis

The Vilnius self-government administration committee responsible for events has issued a permission to hold a protest action on Wednesday on the Square of Europe next to the building of the self-government of Vilnius (Konstitucijos avenue 3, Vilnius).

The protest action is organized by communities of Polish and Russian schools in Vilnius.

Polish communities are extremely worried about the draft resolutions of the Council of Vilnius city. The draft resolutions are to be considered on Wednesday. They refer to the future of Vilnius Joachimo Lelevelio Secondary School as well as other schools of national minorities.

The protest action permission allows for 500 people to take part in the event. The action will start at 13.30 and will last until 15.00. It will take place on 15th July. All the interested are invited to take part in the action.

There is also another important event taking place on 14th July - the community of the Vilnius Joachimo Lelevelio Secondary School will take part in the Holy Mass in Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Vilnius. The Mass will be celebrated in the intention of the successful the future of the school.
