'Even the leaders face fear of failure, which impedes us from attempting new things and results in us making mistakes. I would like you to remember that the only true mistake is the one we do not learn from. In fact, life-long learning is the result of all our mistakes which made us wiser. Therefore, I would like to encourage you to get rid of the fear – be brave and make mistakes. Otherwise you'll spend your life in shadows', said KTU Rector Petras Baršauskas.
KTU graduates were congratulated by Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, Kaunas Auxiliary Bishop Kęstutis Kėvalas, Kaunas Mayor Visvaldas Matijošaitis and other honorary guests.
Dalius Misiūnas, CEO of leading Lithuanian energy company Lietuvos Energija and the President of KTU's Alumni Association pointed out that university education is not only about learning about technologies, it is about knowledge and connections. Fresh graduates were encouraged to seek knowledge in their career path and not titles.
