PM congratulates gymnasium students on Lithuania's independence

On Monday, March 9th, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius visited Vilnius Sholom Aleichem ORT Gymnasium and met with its community. The prime minister was shown around the renovated building which will accommodate 350 schoolchildren since 1 September. The Government aided the renovation from the State Capital Investment funds. The prime minister congratulated schoolchildren and teachers on the occasion of 11 March, Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania. "I would like to invite people of all ethnic groups living in Lithuania to celebrate our country's birthday together. I am pleased that gymnasium students will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Restoration of Lithuania's Independence in new premises. In 2014 the Government allotted over EUR 1 million for the renovation," said Prime Minister Butkevicius.
