The opening of the exhibition will be held today (Wednesday, 4th March) at 5 p.m. at the Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Cinema Museum (Vilniaus Street 41).
The author of the works is a journalist and an artist Lilija Valatkienė. Using the latest technologies she perpetuates places associated with the activity and life of Michał Kleofas Ogiński. Lilija Valatkienė creates the general image by the method of improvisation. Works printed on canvas look like painted images that make an impact on our consciousness, feelings and imagination.
Students of Balys Dvarionas Music School will perform creations of Ogiński during the vernissage. Ogiński's texts will be read by the actor Remigijus Vilkaitis.
The exhibition will be open until 4th April 2015.
2015 has been declared by the Seimas of Lithuania as the Year of Ogiński. It marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of this eminent political and social activist, diplomat and composer.
