A special focus was delivered to a new international cyber security master degree programme, which is being developed by the VU Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics in the meantime. Two programme specializations are projected: security, monitoring, simulation of cyber-attacks and digital analysis of the evidences following the digital crime.
VU cooperation with Barclays started in 2009. Since then Barclay provided VU and MIF in particular, with a wide range of study literature, contributed to the development of study programmes, updated several computer labs, opened a mobile application development laboratory "Innovation Space" in the autumn of 2013. Besides, a number of VU graduates work successfully in Barclays.
"You are like a hidden jewel of Europe, a small state in size, but have great potential for advanced science and research, contributing to the overall well-being of Europe", Michael Harte, the Head of Barclays Operations and Technology Division, described Lithuania at the end of the visit.
