Children visited library and reading rooms, corpuses, got acquainted with services provided and software for disabled students. Visitors were interested in software which converts text into sound, in electronic image enhancing tool Topaz XL HD and in digital system Bellman Audio Domino Pro, which can transmit sound for several listeners simultaneously.
At the Learning Resource Center by using the Braille printer children printed "Glory to Ukraine". After visiting the library children participated in a short music class, where the leader of University Song and Dance Ensemble "Šviesa" Jolanta Kisielytė-Sadauskienė introduced children with pan pipes, Lithuanian folk wind instruments, taught them how to blow and how to perform a glee.
Children also met the Rector of the University Algirdas Gaižutis. After the Rector's address children were interested from how many universities they have to graduate to become rectors. Children were also interested into study possibilities at the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences.
"It is more than strange that in 21st century children have to talk about the horror of war, death and bereavements. At the end of the visit children sang the National Anthem of the Ukraine" said the Head of the International Relations Office Loreta Chodzkienė.
