Both parties agreed on long-term collaboration that will be mutually beneficial. The collaboration will encourage business and studies integration in different fields: information systems engineering, project management, solution architecture, encouragement of IT security competence development, organisation of professional work experience for students, development of the competences of lecturers, development of reciprocal partnership, diverse social initiatives, and the organisation and implementation of project and scientific activities.
CSC Baltic has been collaborating with universities for a number of years. CSC Baltic maintains direct relations with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Kaunas University of Technology, and Vilnius College. The company not only looks to recruit specialists, but also contributes to the organisation and quality improvement of studies. Representatives of the Company give lectures every year, take part in conferences, support various initiatives of students and Career Days events, offer work placements in the company, and take part in the defence and review of final theses.
Kaunas Faculty of Humanities of Vilnius University, the initiator of this agreement, has a close relationship with CSC Baltic. Quite a number of the faculty's graduates are employed at the international IT company. Alumni are invited to events and celebrations of the faculty and the best students are invited to do internships at the company. Specialists of CSB Baltic have been giving lectures and seminars to faculty members and students for quite a number of years.
Last spring CSC Baltic held a competition for the best final Masters and Bachelors thesis at Kaunas Faculty of Humanities of Vilnius University and the Faculty of Philology of Vilnius University. The company awarded prizes for the best four theses.
CSC Baltic not only contributes to the improvement of studies, but it also organises leisure events for students. Last summer, the company fitted out CSC recreation and relaxation area at Kaunas Faculty of Humanities of Vilnius University and helped to renovate several other leisure areas in the faculty. In addition, CSC has been sponsoring various events of the faculty on an ongoing basis. For instance, this autumn the company became the main sponsor for the anniversary regatta Don't Wait, Sail!
