The Declaration also includes a committment to jointly address the challenges of economic competitiveness, the labour market and demographics, and meet the goals of green and digital transformation.
“I am pleased that the Declaration stands to consolidate priorities of great importance for Lithuania - increasing the attractiveness and prestige of vocational training, attracting more people to vocational training, solving the problems of the shortage of vocational teachers and their training, promoting the participation of adults in education, improving their qualifications and skills,” said Rolandas Zuoza, Vice-Minister of Education, Science and Sport.
The Declaration sets ambitious targets for vocational training and lifelong learning by 2030. At the same time, it maintains continuity with previous policy cycles and addresses emerging challenges, including artificial intelligence, green transformation, demographic change and skills gaps in the labour market.
