Moreover, Vice minister of Culture Romas Jarockis will visit Seiny and Krasnogruda towns, which are located near the Polish-Lithuanian border.

Polish and Lithuanian cooperation in the field of culture and education is regulated by the Agreement on Cooperation in the Fields of Culture, Education and Science between the Government of the Polish Republic and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania from 17th December 1998.

Article 9 of the above mentioned Agreement states that 'the contracting parties shall create conductive conditions for preservation, development, and expression of the national, religious, and linguistic diversity for people belonging to the Polish minority in the Republic of Lithuania and people belonging to Lithuanian minority in the Republic of Poland.'

Lithuanian Minister of Culture Šarūnas Birutis and Lithuanian Vice minister of Culture Romas Jarockis will participate in the opening of the permanent exhibition in the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.
