VILNIUS TECH's scientific journal Transport joined COPE in 2020.
Joining COPE is not an easy task. It is a long process that requires years of preparation. The main preparations include disseminating the journal to the international community, internationalising the editorial board, defining and implementing the journal's policy processes, adhering to the regulations, ensuring clarity of the guidelines for authors and reviewers, and adhering to publishing regulations.
The recognition of seven scientific journals by COPE is a major step forward for the University's academia.
The University publishes 16 open-access peer-reviewed scientific journals. All scientific journals are published using the Open Access model and under a CC-BY 4.0 licence. VILNIUS TECH uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Some journals implement peer review processes using the ScholarOne Manuscripts platform.
The VILNIUS TECH research journals are indexed in various databases. Ten journals are indexed in Web of Science, seven of them have Journal Impact Factor (JIF), and three are included in Web of Science: Emerging Sources Citation Index. Thirteen journals are indexed in the SCOPUS database.
